Mother’s Day turned out good for me. I spend most needed quality time with my children and we spoke on our loss as well as our feelings. I smiled and cried, laughed and sat in silence. I listened as well as poured out my heart and soul. We ate seafood, pasta, chicken, spaghetti and drunk wine. We came together and we all needed it.
Today I wake from a long over due night of blissful sleep. My heart is still heavy but hurt less. My mind calm but worry like a matriarch is supposed to. My emotions are at easy with patience and understanding. Not fully transformed but at least it’s a start. Dealing with the issue instead of covering it up keeps me from becoming a patient at the nearest hospital.
Thankful for the family I have even if we all don’t see eye to eye but at least we do take into consideration feelings and opinions. We are outside ourselves that we are above the love and live given to us. I love my family; they are my timeless memories and moments.
