Is your community safe? Safety is a great deal these days with all the kidnappings, sex trafficking, black market for organs, murders, police brutality, and predators to watch of for, just to name a few. It is hard enough raising children, but it is even harder when you have to deal with obstacles as such in your home, neighborhood, and community. Since we can’t just simply lock them away, procaustion is very necessary.
We know we can’t be in all place at all time. We know we can’t follow our children around all day either. So we need to prepare them for the real world because believe it or not they live it more than we want them to. We know school is supposed to be a safe place, but as we can see we are seeing that isn’t the case. They school system have been failing us for a very long time. In rural neighborhoods where children catch the bus or walk to school is more dangerous for our children. Even the school buses are safe. Drivers fighting, hitting or being disrespectful to our children, being high and getting into accidents. We put our children in the hands of different people who we don’t know everyday. We really send them out into the world to fend for themselves without really know the danger that they face everyday.
We pray that nothing happens but are we teach them how to defend themselves. We need to teach them manners but also how to defend themselves against attackers, predators, or kidnappers. We struggle to make ends meet but when it comes to our children’s safety those struggles comes to an end. We need to give them things that will protect them against anyone trying to do them harm. They need to know we care enough to make sure they make it back home to us safe. Yes, they need mace, pepper spray, tassers, pocket knives but with the understanding that this is to protect you not for you to go out and look for trouble. There is and need to be a difference in order to make sure our children are safe. We can’t always rely on police protection when sometimes they are the ones our children need protection from. If you raise them not to be bullies, or criminals, then hopefully they aren’t fooled by society’s pull in those directions. Peer pressure isn’t an issue and bullying is something they can defend themselves again.
It is a hard life growing up in this world and haven’t nothing changed in the forty-six years I’ve been on this rock, but time and buildings. Other than that people are still being raised to be racist. Hunger still exist and poverty is still a factor. Bullying is still a problem and peer pressure is worse. Sex is still an issue and rape is still a factor. No doesn’t mean shit to no one, people doesn’t believe what is mine is for me not yours or for you. Murder is at an all time high and funeral homes are richer by humanity is at an all time low. So yes, is your community safe? If not, then make it less horrible for you and your family by protecting yourself and readying them for the unforeseen.
The goal here is to leave as a family and to return as a family everyday.
