Do you remember quiet Summer nights? Well do you?!
I do! I remember be able to sit out and listen to the night creatures, enjoying the soft warm breeze, looking at the stars and drinking a cool glass of juice.
Not anymore these last couple of years it’s been war! Everyone is out doing something illegal. Noise everywhere like no one wants peace and quiet or they never heard of it. Makes me wonder was it like this when I was a child?
Children out all night making noise; singing, dancing, shooting, riding pedal bikes as well as dirt bikes and mopads, cursing, yelling, screaming, laughing as loud as they can while lighting fireworks. Where are the parents?
I remember we couldn’t be out all night, especially without someone’s parents being out with us. I remember we also couldn’t be loud because our parents reminded us people have to get up and go to work including themselves. I remember bikes had to be put up when the lights came on in the streets. No music after 8pm., definitely no cursing or that’s an ass whipping by whoever parent was out doing the watching. So what happened?
Lawd I just want quiet nights back wherein there isn’t any violence; loud rude, obnoxious, disrespectful children out all night and no loud music. All that is for when the sun is up!
Everyday I pray for just one, just one! This was a timeless moment but now it’s a cry for silence!
