Goddess Morning Royals. First, give praise and worship to the all High.
I sat down with my elders and talked to them when they were reminiscing about their lives, I was in amazement. I had no idea that they lived such lives as they did. They walked me through some of their troubling times as well as their joyful times. I mean these women and men have lived a life that I would have never imagined because I saw them as just working class aunts and uncles. When I say I would have been a fly on the wall and gave them all the attention they needed, I would have not moved not one inch. They did thing and went places, I’m still trying to explore. When they got started on the stories of our ancestors, my mother dropped to the floor. I was glued to their words and stuck in their conversation like a deer in headlights. I don’t even believe I blinked one time, but of course I did, just a small exaggeration, but their lifestyle wasn’t. Now they sit in their lives and relax in their minds. They earned the right to have peace and joy for all they have been through.
I commend them on most of their journey to getting here because I can tell you it wasn’t a walk in the park most of the times and the other times it was more of life or death. Their bravery and love for life is extraordinary. I believe it is instill in me but I don’t want to test the waters. I know that I am made from good stock though and that in itself is a blessing worth sitting down for and paying attention. I have to tell you this though, this Tuesday has to be one of the best Timeless Tuesdays of my life.
A near death experience shouldn’t be a reason to want to make memorable times with someone on the count you might not see them again. Everyday should be memorable even if it is learning about a person’s history. You might think you know all about a person until they start to tell you about themselves. You get to thinking that you really don’t know this person at all. It isn’t because they are private or that you haven’t been paying attention, it’s because their life is theirs and they have lived it just a little different than you have seen. You think you know but then again you only got to see what they wanted you to see.
Don’t wait for it to be timeless make it timeless because you never know when you will beg for that time.
